Best Practices Coaching Program for Course Members

Eric Bobrow, ArchiCAD GuruThe Best Practices Coaching Program for ArchiCAD users is a web-based learning community led by Eric Bobrow, internationally recognized authority on the software.

    • All members of the Best Practices Course get 6 months of access to the coaching program with course registration.
    • After six months, you may continue your membership in the coaching program on a month to month basis, or sign up for a 6 month or one year term. Please see the fee schedule below.
    • NOTE: You have lifetime access to the Best Practices Course lessons. Only the coaching program has a limited term and an ongoing fee.

Each month, there are three interactive 90 minute webinars in which Eric takes questions and creatively weaves answers that apply Best Practices principles to each challenge. No question is too simple or too advanced – all are welcome.

Questions may be sent in advance via email, along with screen captures or other images illustrating the context. Actual project files may be submitted if needed to clarify the situation. Follow-up questions as well as additional topics are easily asked using the chat panel during the actual session.

    • Three 90 minute sessions offered each month
    • Submit questions ahead of time or during the session
    • Learn how to apply Best Practices principles in the actual context of your projects
    • Participate in the call “live” and/or watch the recorded version (as many times as you like)
    “Great Questions -
Best 90 minutes of training I have ever had.”

Inaugurated in January 2011 as part of the Best Practices Course, in its first year the coaching program has addressed literally hundreds of questions in depth. Some 30 sessions have been recorded and posted in the Best Practices Course member area, creating a library of over 45 hours of carefully indexed high quality training material.

Course members are encouraged to continue in the Best Practices Coaching Program after the initial 6 month term in order to have access to expert help on virtually any aspect of using ArchiCAD.

Get the Coaching You Need When You Need It

Maintain your membership in the Best Practices Coaching Program and you’ll never have to “make do” because there’s no one there to help.

Course members may stay in this invaluable coaching program on a monthly “pay-as-you-go” basis as well as by signing up for longer terms:

    • $37 per month, with no contract
    • $197 for a 6 month term (about $33 per month)
    • $297 for a one year term (about $25 per month)
    • For your convenience, your membership will be automatically renewed for a similar length term (charged to your credit card) unless you request cancellation

To sign up for the Best Practices Coaching Program, pick the length of time you prefer, click the Sign Up Now button below, then follow through the standard shopping cart process.

Choose Your Term and Sign Up for Best Practices Coaching!

NOTE: Members who sign up at these special rates are guaranteed this pricing for life.
It will never go up as long as you stay enrolled in the coaching program.

“Great coaching session today.  The part where you clearly explained and showed how to model walls and floors so the cut sections and elevations render properly was fantastic.  This solves a lot of my problems and questions.

The tip about how to drag something to a certain distance from (or past) a point or object is very, very helpful.  The next day after the coaching session I used it all day to layout four options for a floor plan and it saved me a bunch of time.  And that’s just in one day.

I never expected this much improvement for the Best Practices Course and the Coaching Calls. This will help me to use ArchiCAD the way it is supposed to be used.”

Yes, this is well worth the cost, effort and time invested. I’m always learning some new aspect of ArchiCAD and feel connected to something much bigger (internationally) and better (Eric Bobrow/Graphisoft) than going at it alone.

So far, I have Disks 1&2 plus the Quick Start Course.

      I’m having great results!
      Thanks Eric!

Eric, thanks for your reply to my message re: the 1/31 coaching call. I checked both my e-mail list and my spam filter and neither had a message with the registration link you provide. Unfortunately, my e-mail service fails me once in a while, and this may have happened here. However, I will be able to download today’s coaching call and play it then. I’ll keep an eye out for your messages with the February schedule.

      Eric,

I signed up for “The Best Practice Course” back when it was first offered, and paid a fee.
I did recieve the Quick Start Course DVD and disk 1 & 2, but nothing since?

Due to my work schedule I have not been able to participate in the Coaching sessions
(I did recieve advance e-mail notices)
Did I misunderstand? I thought I would recieve DVDs of the results of each Coaching session.
What am I eligible to recieve?
      Milton

      Milton -

You will receive all 7 DVDs as promised. Only 3 have been produced so far, with the balance to be sent out one at a time as each batch of lessons are finished up. The next DVD will be produced when I finish up Week #14, which should be within the next week or two.

On the first two disks of the Best Practices Course I included the coaching calls that had taken place during the time that those lessons were being produced. The QuickStart Course does not include coaching, so there were no coaching sessions included on that disk.

On disks 3 through 6 for the Best Practices Course, I think I will include several coaching calls on each, spanning calendar year 2011. The calls in 2012 will only be available to members who are actively part of the coaching program – which all course members get for 6 months, which as stated above, may be extended by payment of a monthly or yearly fee.

I hope that answers your questions. Please let me know if you have further questions.

Eric, I believe I am still eligible for coaching call participation. I know there is one going on right now, but I didn’t receive the usual e-mail with instructions for joining in. Can you confirm that I am still eligible? I am taking the Best Practices Course, and as recently as yesterday, received two new lessons in Week 13. Since I can’t join in live, I assume I can still watch the video after you’ve recorded it, right?

      Bob -

I looked up your account, and can see that you signed up for the course in November 2011 so your membership in the coaching calls goes through May 2012.

An email was sent out on January 25 to you as well as other active coaching program members with the registration info. It appears not to have been opened – perhaps you didn’t notice it, or it got caught up inadvertently in your spam or junk mail. Please look for it, and see if you can track it down – I’d like to know whether the email was actually delivered.

The call today was recorded properly, and should be posted later today or tomorrow in the member area. Since your coaching membership is active, you’ll be able to watch the recording.

Please let me know if you have other questions, and also tell me whether you can track down the email from January 25. A new email with the schedule for February along with registration links will be sent out later this week.

      Hey Eric,
Thanks for the email. I can’t believe the year has gone by so fast. Just so you know, I have both training programs and don’t use Archicad for my daily cad program. I have Arch vista and Yours. By far, yours is better.
I would like to renew your program using a monthly payment plan.
Please email me the dates for this option.
      - Matt

Thanks for taking the time to post your comments and your question. I’m so glad to hear that after comparing the main online training competitor, you feel that my training program is far better!

You can do the monthly payment plan by clicking on the left-hand Add to Cart button above. This will process a charge of $37 today, and the same amount every 30 days (of course, you can cancel or suspend service at any time).

Please let me know if you have any questions or problems with using this method.

      Hi Eric,

In answer to why I don’t want to continue with the Best practices Coaching program: I don’t actually work in the industry, and merely have an interest in (and some training in) Archicad. As a result of the demands of my own business, I haven’t had time to do many of the lessons, let alone be involved in the Coaching calls. When I manage to sell my business (maybe this year) I am hoping to finish my training & enter the industry. At that point, the Coaching calls may be useful, but until that point it’s not really worth my while.

      Regards, Jonathan. Sydney, Australia

      Eric,
About 2 weeks ago, I believe that I successfully signed up for 6 more months of coaching calls – can you confirm? Also, I have today’s coaching call on my calendar but may have forgotten to register for it. I don’t see a way of doing this from your acbestpractices.com site, but perhaps I’m missing it.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Thank you for signing up for the coaching program! I greatly appreciate it.
You should have gotten the info for how to connect to the calls in an email I sent out yesterday to coaching call members. Since it appears you may not have received that one, I have just sent you a personal email with all the info for the January calls.

That’s fine, it’s totally optional. Would you mind giving me a little feedback on why you feel that way? Have you watched or participated in any of the calls up to this point?
